HETMA + PRISM SCHOLARSHIP

Founded in 2022, the HETMA Prism Scholarship awards ten underrepresented higher ed audiovisual professionals annually the opportunity to learn, certify, and experience the AV industry through an AVIXA Elite membership, CTS training and certification, a personal mentor, and trip to InfoComm. Previous recipients have gone on to become leaders in both higher education and the AV-industry.

In order to continue supporting this revolutionary scholarship program, HETMA is introducing the 3rd Annual HETMA Golf Classic, being held September 28, 2026, at the world class Colorado National Golf Club, in Erie (Denver), CO, at the PGA championship course. This is an event not to be missed. All sponsorships of the HETMA Golf Classic are 100% tax deductible as a 501(c)3 organization, and 100% of the tournament profits support the Prism Scholarship.

As an end user group, HETMA believes in supporting the entire channel line. So this year, we are putting higher ed customers in our player carts! That's the perfect way to have fun, support a great cause, and also do some business all in one!

This year’s event includes: (1) Morning putting practice, driving range, breakfast on-the-go; (2) Shotgun scramble with specialty games on the course, edu customers in your carts, lunch cart, alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages; (3) A new Vendor Expo; (4) Awards ceremony with cocktail reception, meal service, with raffle & silent auction, winners trophies; and (4) partnership opportunities with our EDUCAUSE events.
